The Clark County Department of Aviation (CCDOA) continues its series of modernization projects at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to enhance the traveler experience and accommodate growing passenger demand. With 58.4 million guests welcomed last year, LAS continues to be one of the busiest airports in the nation.
These upcoming projects will improve existing infrastructure, operational efficiency, and expand available amenities.
T1 Escalator Installation to streamline passenger movement:
Two new escalators will be installed in Terminal 1 (T1) baggage claim, ascending to Level 2, leading to the parking garage pedestrian bridge and deconflicting vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Two additional escalators will be constructed from Level 2, descending to the passenger pick-up area in the T1 parking garage.
Installation is scheduled to begin in May 2025, with an estimated completion date early 2027.
D Gates Gaming Lounge - A new gaming and smoking lounge is kicking off construction, offering travelers a new entertainment experience in true Las Vegas style:
The 890-square-foot space will be located on Level 2 of the D Gates, adjacent to Vera Bradley and Port of Subs
Construction is estimated to begin March 2025 and be completed approximately at the end of the year.

Till Death Do Us Party - Kick off the Vegas fun the moment you land with “I’m a Party Machine” by Till Death Do Us Party. These vending machines are stocked with party essentials from bachelorette and bachelor accessories to festival gear, cocktail mixes, themed décor kits, and Vegas souvenirs. You’ll find it at baggage claim at both Terminals 1 and 3.
